Chicago - A message from the station manager

The [Monday] Papers

By Steve Rhodes

“A new political fund aimed at helping Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner push his agenda has received its first cash infusion: $4 million from Chicago billionaire Sam Zell,” the Tribune reports.
So all of Illinois’ villains are joining together to defeat humanity.

“The contribution to the Turnaround Illinois super political action committee is one of the largest single donations in state political history . . .
“The new Rauner-allied fund is in addition to $20 million Rauner established in his own campaign fund shortly before taking office.
“Rauner, who made his fortune as a private equity investor, put in $10 million of his own money, while Ken Griffin, founder and CEO of the Chicago-based hedge fund Citadel, provided $8 million, and Richard Uihlein, CEO of Uline Corp., added $2 million.”
