The Weekend Desk Report

By Natasha Julius

Super Bore Sunday Special
Every year we here at the Weekend Desk try to help you cope with the horrible week between the conference championships and the Super Bowl. After all, there is such a thing as life without football. Well, real serious football, anyway.

    1. Hug Gary Bettman. With your eyes.

  1. Run for governor. Or Congress. Whatever.
  2. Procrastinate. Nothing bad ever happens when you do that.
  3. Inflate your grades. If you do so long enough it won’t sting so much when you deflate them.
  4. Failing that, talk to Slovakia. You know, find out what they’re doing right.
  5. Whoa. Stay the fuck out of Riverside.
  6. January’s a great time to go to the movies. Or watch a real life shit show unfold before your eyes.
