Joel Osteen

Who: Joel Osteen.

Organization: Lakewood Church, Joel Osteen Ministries.

Book: "Your Best Life Now"

Website slogan: Discover the Champion in You

Fire and Brimstone: Joel is too much of an optimist to believe anyone would ever end up in Hell.

osteen2.jpgStyle: A picture-postcard of perfection, from his engaging smile and expensive suits to his blonde bombshell wife, Victoria. Joel is a believable, secure, mellower Kevin Trudeau - in fact, he's everything Kevin Trudeau would be if Trudeau actually believed in anything. The tinge of Joel's drawl adds to his unique quality of being incredibly likable for an optimist. A gentle preacher. Keeps the religiosity to a minimum, even as he's quoting Scripture in the most non-threatening way possible. Does seem to know a lot about God's intentions, though. Doesn't seem to have ever considered that God could be a tyrant or a bumbler.

TV Quote: "Quit comparin' your life and run your own race . . . The moment we start to compare, it steals our joy and spoils our day."

Daily E-Mail Devotional: "Inspiration In Your Inbox."

Politics: Can't we all just get along?

Prayer Requests? Yes.

Merchandise: Hats, shirts, and other apparel coming soon.

Evaluation: An Osteen/Obama ticket in '08?

Home Court: Compaq Center.
