After recording the show, former Cubs prospect Billy McKinney was called up to the bigs by the Yankees to replace Aaron Hicks, who was placed on the 10-day disabled list. McKinney was acquired from the A's by the Cubs along with Addison Russell and Dan Straily for Jeff Samardzija and Jason Hammel.
The Chicago Cubs traded starters Jeff Samardzija and Jason Hammel to the Oakland Athletics for shortstop prospect Addison Russell, outfield prospect Billy McKinney, and pitcher Dan Straily. The Yankees acquired McKinney from the Cubs in the Aroldis Chapman trade, along with Gleyber Torres, Adam Warren and Rashad Crawford.
