Cab #1396

Date: 12/01/06
From: Downtown
To: Wicker Park

The Cab: A Crown Victoria with satisfying faux wood paneling on the dash.

The Driver: He used to own a liquor store on the South Side. Now that was a dangerous job. He would exchange products for cash through a lazy Susan, though he didn't call it that. He was never shot at, but there was a lot of gunfire on the streets around his store. Driving a cab is dangerous too, though he tells me a convoluted story I can't follow. Still, a very nice fellow. He lives in the suburbs now. He likes to chat; he finds most people friendly and interesting. He thinks I look like a good man. Few people think that, as far as I know.

The Driving: Routine.

Overall rating: 4.5 extended arms.
